Widows Group
Forestville RSL sub-Branch
At an Extraordinary General Meeting on Monday 16th May, 2022 at the Forestville RSL Club, the members present voted unanimously to:
- officially close the Widows Group
- close the Widows Group bank account
- all remaining funds to be transferred to the RSL Auxiliary account held by the sub-Branch
- these funds to then be forwarded by the sub-Branch to the RSL NSW Veterans Support Fund to support veterans and their families in NSW in need
- that all Widows Group members would then become members of the RSL Auxiliary, subject to the approval of the RSL Auxiliary members at their next General Meeting
- and those Widows Group members would then become members of the sub-Branch as RSL Auxiliary members, as per RSL NSW Standard Operating Procedure / SOP 8 – RSL Auxiliaries
