The sub-Branch is holding a special service on Wednesday 4th July where the Hon. Tony Abbott MP will be the principal speaker at the unveiling of two Commemorative Benches which commemorate the Centenary of Armistace Day on 11th November, 2018. This date has been chosen as it is the centenary of the Battle of Hamel which took place on 4th July, 1918 and was strategically crucial in the closing stages of World War 1 under the innovative leadership of Sir John Monash.
The President and Committee of Forestville sub-Branch cordially invite you to attend the service. Those attending should arrive by 3.45pm, the service will commence at 4.00pm and conclude around 4.30pm, following which refreshments will be served in the Club. Medals are to be worn.
